All the decisions have been cast, so to speak. And the two options were between Harvard and Princeton. And, the decision has been made that Harvard it will be.
Princeton had a lot to offer, indeed so much to offer. But, Harvard was the best decision all things considered.
Next fall, Cambridge Mass. (or its environs) will be our home.

Chicago no, still between Harvard and Princeton
I received an email letter today saying that I was not accepted to the University of Chicago. We expected this, since we saw on a blog that those who were accepted heard on the 17th of February (I have no clue why they wait so long to send out rejections when they know 2-3 weeks earlier). We were hoping that I'd get a nod from UofC so we would have an opportunity to move back to Chicago--where we would ultimately want to end up. The remaining schools I have not heard from are Columbia, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and North Carolina--Chapel Hill.
On better news, I have had a great phone conversation with my potential advisor at Harvard yesterday, and I will visit at the end of the month. Next week I will visit Princeton and meet with potential advisors, other graduate students, and an administrator.

Update
For those of you interested in where things stand right now. I heard on Monday that I was accepted to Harvard and Princeton. Awesome, awesome, news. Thanks be to God.
I also heard that I was not accepted at Duke and Penn.
Monday was a big day.
So, as of today, it is between Harvard (History of American Civilization) and Princeton University (Religion Department).

Still no results
I thought I would keep this very temporary blog to keep you updated on basic information on where things stand on my graduate school applications. Since so many people are interested, I will update this site when I hear anything so you can easily know the most up to date information.
Also, it prevents obnoxious posts on facebook where the entire world can see on their feed as soon as you put something up.
I think I will hear my first decision this upcoming Monday, 2/7. It was the first day I heard anything last year.
